Humanity’s Forgotten Past
“Echoes of Nibiru” is an original science-fiction novel I’m writing - a speculative re-imagining of humanity’s origins inspired by myth, archaeology, and cosmic mystery.
The story was born from my fascination with the idea that humanity might be much older - and far stranger - than mainstream history admits.
Scattered myths, mysterious ruins, and unexplained artifacts seem to hint at civilisations long forgotten. From Göbekli Tepe to the countless flood legends found in every culture, these fragments suggest that the human story may not be as straightforward as we’ve been taught.
That thought has always fueled my imagination: what if our history has been hidden, or simply misread, all along?
Part of what draws me in so strongly is my unfailing ability to surrender to lore. I fall deeply into it, letting myself be absorbed by every layer. The more I uncover, the deeper I want to go. Lore is what drives me - whether in myth, history, or fiction - and it’s the heartbeat behind every world I explore or create.
Enigma of Planet X
Alongside humanity’s hidden past lies another obsession of mine - Planet X, often called Nibiru.
Astronomers and theorists alike have long speculated about a hidden world on a vast elliptical orbit, sweeping close to Earth in cycles of upheaval. Whether real or purely speculative, the idea of a planet whose arrival shapes the fate of civilisations is irresistible.
In the novel, Nibiru isn’t just a background detail. Nibiru is alive, looming, and central to the story. As I wrote in the opening chapter:
In the immensity of space, Nibiru, a mysterious planet with a highly elliptical orbit, approached the outskirts of our solar system.
Blending Myth and Fiction
From the very beginning, my aim wasn’t to simply retell mythology. I wanted to weave together fragments of history, myth, and speculative science to create something new.
The result is a universe where gods walk the Earth, but their divinity is born of science and ambition. A place where humanity itself is not merely an accident of evolution, but the deliberate creation of beings who underestimated what they had unleashed.
The Birth of Humanity
One of the earliest story scenes shows the Anunnaki harnessing their knowledge to shape the first humans:
Through their advanced genetic engineering techniques, they set out to create a species capable of serving them - the human race.
This moment sets the stage for everything to come. It’s both a gift and a curse, the spark that begins the complex relationship between creators and creation.
Themes of Rebellion and Survival
At its core, the journey is about rebellion. About what happens when a species awakens to the truth of its origins, and begins to question the gods it once revered.
The humans in the story aren’t passive. They adapt, resist, and eventually rise up against impossible odds. Figures like Aria embody that spirit of defiance, proving that even in the shadow of cosmic powers, freedom is worth fighting for.
A World Beyond a Single Book
Although still in its draft form, I’ve always envisioned this book as the beginning of a larger saga.
This first novel establishes the foundation: the arrival of the Anunnaki, their creation of humanity, and the seeds of conflict that will echo through time. But it also hints at much more - a universe built to expand across sequels, each uncovering deeper layers of myth, history, and imagination.
That’s where my love of lore really takes hold. I don’t just want to build a story - I want to build a tapestry. Something readers can get lost in, piece by piece, until they feel as though they’ve uncovered an entire forgotten history. Lore isn’t just background; it’s the soil the story grows from.
Why Science Fiction?
For me, science fiction isn’t just about spaceships or distant galaxies. It’s about asking the biggest “what ifs.”
What if humanity was engineered? What if our myths were memories? What if the stars themselves hide worlds that have already shaped our history?
But there’s also this: science fiction gives me the perfect canvas to indulge in lore. It lets me dig deeper, follow threads, and spin possibilities into entire worlds. Lore is what makes these “what ifs” feel alive—what turns questions into universes.
Echoes of the Future
Though unfinished, this draft has already given me the chance to build something I’ve always wanted: not just a story, but an entire universe.
It’s a universe born from my fascination with humanity’s forgotten past, the mystery of Planet X, and the timeless struggle between freedom and control.
And this is only the beginning. The echoes will grow louder.
Stick with me - when the final copy is ready, I’ll be excited to welcome anyone who wants to dive in and experience the story for themselves.
